Math Teach-a-thon: Fundraising to make an Impact
Math Teach-a-thon: Fundraising for Hope!
Hello! We are Liana, Isobel, Isaac, Adriana, Hulu, and Daniel, elementary, middle, and high school students in Santa Cruz who are raising donations for The Homeless Garden Project through our volunteering.
We teach small groups of kids to solve competition math problems for free, discussing problems from Math Olympiad for Elementary and Middle School Students (MOEMS), Mathcounts, and AIME. You can learn more about what we do by reading the information in the Math Olympiad Fun Signup Form or on our website. In 24-25, we collectively volunteered 51.5 hours across 22 students. In 25-26, we collectively volunteered 61 hours across 24 students.
Thank you for donating to give hope to others and to support us in our goals! :D If you have any questions, you can email me at lianamleeee@gmail.com.
Your gift to the Homeless Garden Project will be directed to their Impact Fund campaign that seeks to raise $70k to pay the wages program participants earn during their year in HGP's transitional employment program. Trainees work 20 hours a week, learning on the job skills, while receiving social work support, with a goal of obtaining stable employment and housing after leaving the program. Last year 94% of graduates obtained stable employment and 94% obtained stable housing within 3 months of leaving the program.HGP is a 501c3 nonprofit and your donations are tax deductible. Our EIN / Tax ID is 77-0475165.
